Blue Social is a networking application that connects users in physical proximity through Bluetooth technology. This family-owned startup from the USA needed to refresh their 7-year-old platform
to appeal specifically to Generation Z while implementing decentralized monetization features.
Purrweb was tasked with creating a modern, clean design that would preserve the app’s core “ice-breaking” functionality — allowing users to easily make first contact with nearby people:
at conferences, events, and social gatherings.
Our team conducted extensive target audience research into Gen Z preferences, developed
a completely new visual language, and restructured the navigation system. We maintained the core brand identity through strategic use of blue accent colors while modernizing the overall aesthetic with the Red Hat Display font, clean interfaces, and rounded design elements that appeal to younger users.
