What is IPyes?
AN APP FOR PLAYING VIDEO CONTENT PROVIDED BY RESELLERS USING IPTV TECHNOLOGIES
Europe has strict anti-piracy laws. If you casually download a movie, you might get a visit from the police and a hefty fine. People have found a workaround in Europe. There’s a growing demand for playlist resellers. You can contact them to pick a playlist tailored to your preferences. To play the playlist, you need a platform to upload it to, and that’s where IPyes comes in — it’s an app designed specifically for playing content provided by resellers.
В Европе строгое законодательство против пиратства. Если просто так взять и скачать фильм, то к вам постучится полицейский и выпишет огромный штраф.
Люди нашли выход — в Европе развит спрос на реселлеров плейлистов. Можно связаться с ними и подобрать плейлист по своим вкусам. Чтобы проигрывать плейлист, его нужно куда-то загрузить, и IPyes — как раз то приложение для проигрывания контента, который предоставляется реселлерами.

Clients
Two clients from Germany spontaneously decided to create a self-funded startup — a TV app, a mobile app, and a website. They came across our article about Android TV and decided to trust us with the development.

How the App Helps
USERS CAN DOWNLOAD CUSTOM IP PLAYLISTS AND WATCH THE CONTENT AVAILABLE IN THEM
With the app, people can watch movies, series, and TV shows, as well as listen to the radio.

Interface
From a UX standpoint, everything was straightforward, and we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel. The interface design is based on simple patterns familiar to every user.
The app’s logic is highly intuitive, so to keep the flow simple, we decided to skip onboarding altogether.
All content is divided into categories

Typography and Colors
Since the app features a lot of vivid content, the font needed to be neutral. The ideal choice for this is

The app uses a dark theme, mimicking an online cinema, and watching movies is more natural in low-light conditions.
The accent color is coral. It contrasts well with the dark purple and gives the app a fresh, vibrant feel.

Development
We used standard technologies, except for the video player. It turned out that not all player libraries support the mkv format. To address this, we customized the raw React Native VLC player and added a library.

FOR THIS CASE, THREE MAJOR DESIGN PROJECTS WERE IMPLEMENTED. WE DESIGNED AND DEVELOPED A MOBILE APPLICATION AND AN APPLICATION FOR TV PLATFORMS.
We also designed a web platform that combines a selling landing page and a service for uploading playlists to personal accounts.
