Some services our educational app development company can provide

Custom education software development services

If you’d like a solution tailored exactly to your needs, custom educational app development gives you full control over the learning experience, from how content is structured to how users interact with it. You won’t have to choose from templates. Instead, you’ll use an app that fits real user scenarios. For example, blended learning models if you’re a private school or a corporate wiki for a sales team.

Developing a custom education app lets you select the features that matter. You’re free to evolve and scale the app as your strategy changes.

Corporate education app development services

Corporate training applications are a growing segment of the EdTech space. We can help you create an app to take advantage of this trend. Contact us to get an education app that helps companies upskill employees, onboard new hires, and keep teams aligned.

To make sure your app fits into your business processes, our educational app development company can add features like Slack integrations. Progress tracking, certification, and assessments can tie learning to KPIs and business goals. Gamification-like features such as points, leaderboards, achievements can boost engagement and make sure workers complete prerequisite courses.

LMS education app development services

We can create any learning management system you could want, depending on your goals.

If you want to create a system for the education industry, we’ll design a system with a variety of features. For example, course management, assignment submission, teacher-student communication, and progress tracking.

The same goes if you want to develop a social learning LMS. It’s going to be more informal and closer in spirit to a social network, but useful nonetheless. Our designers will integrate features that boost user engagement: e.g. forums, group chats, shared projects, and gamification.

AI integration services

If you have an existing education app, we can improve and modernize it by integrating AI.

Want your users to experience personalized training? A separate AI agent can train user performance and tailor content to their pace and interests. Need to boost engagement? AI chatbots and virtual tutors can handle routine questions and help students recall the material they’ve learnt.

These new features will ensure that your app is used for years to come in the education industry.

Key features to include when it comes to education app development services

Schedule management

What for: this feature lets students and tutors organize classes, manage deadlines, and check for study sessions. It can also help avoid scheduling conflicts.

Example: an EPG system for private schools in Kuwait allows admins to check the timetable of separate groups, the classes they’re attending, and their homework.

Video calls

What for: when it comes to the online education industry, video calls are essential. They enable live virtual classrooms and are indispensable when it comes to 1-1 tutoring and group discussions.

Example: My Therapy Assistant is a healthcare app with a video call feature. It helps therapists establish a better connection with patients and improves the quality of a therapy session.

Sign up and user profiles

What for: if we’re talking about corporate training, sign-up lets businesses onboard students with personalized access.

Example: iZumator is a corporate training platform that hosts separate profiles for different roles.

Billing

What for: it helps manage subscriptions, course fees, and tutoring payments.

Example: We integrated a payment system into an ERP system for private schools called EPG. Instead of using third-party services, parents can pay for tuition and other services in one place.

Assignments

What for: it lets teachers distribute tasks, and students can submit their work digitally.

Example: ITHub has an assignment submission feature. Users fill out a text field with an answer, attach a PDF file with finished homework, and send it for review.

Search & filters

What for: if you have a lot of study materials or want to develop a course catalog, a search feature can help users sort through the noise.

Example: Zeroney is an education app with a separate catalog that stores courses. It has previews, and the user can divide the courses into purchased and recommended ones.

Some of the clients we offer services to in the education sector

Online schools, colleges, universities

Our designers and developers can help you create an e-learning platform that lets educators manage courses, share materials, assign homework, and track student progress — all in one place. For students, platforms offer flexibility: they can attend classes remotely, access coursework at any convenient time, and complete tests online.

If you want, we can integrate:

discussion bots or AI chatbots so that students are more inclined to finish their assignments;
collaboration features that boost engagement;
grading systems that streamline administration.

No matter the app, we’ll make sure to deliver a product that maintains a great user experience, pleasing design, and keeps accessibility in mind at all times.

Corporations

These apps support everything from onboarding to leadership development. Say a new hire logs into the app. To make corporate training easier, we can add the following:

a clear path with video modules, quizzes, checklists, and scheduled mentor calls;
dashboards for performance tracking;
gamification with badges, progress bars, and team challenges to boost engagement;
integration with HR systems that allows automatic raises based on course completion and available job roles.

With the right setup, companies can scale training across multiple locations.

Sign up and user profiles

Educational apps for solo entrepreneurs are all about automation and control. We’ll help you launch and scale your own online courses without a big team.

Here are a few things we can integrate to help you release a self-paced course:

videos, quizzes, and other tools so you can set up drip content to release lessons over time;
automated email reminders, landing page builders, and integrated payment systems to handle everything in one place;
a dashboard to show who has enrolled and how far they’ve progressed;
community tools like private groups or comment threads help keep learners engaged.

Let’s create an app that simplifies course building to such an extent that it runs on autopilot.

Custom education app development process

1

Kick-off and discovery

What you get: Project roadmap + BPMN-diagrams with feature requirements

Estimated timeline: 2–3 weeks

The first step we take is to schedule a call with you. Our software development specialists take time to discuss the education app idea: your ambitions, a price estimate, an approximate timeframe, and the number of features. Once we agree, we begin developing a roadmap for your education app development process.

That’s when the project manager steps in. They take in as many requirements as possible — then they pick out a team of developers based on the needs and limitations of your business. These specialists will map out the software architecture of your education app.

Finally, system analysts draw up potential use cases of your product and lay them out in BPMN-diagrams. This step helps speed up custom education software development later.

2

Design

What you get: UI kit, app designs ready for development

Estimated timeline: 1,5–2 months

Before handing off work to educational app developers, our designers draw wireframes. These are black-and-white screens of your future education app that display the location of each UI element. Once you greenlight those, we move on to creating a design concept — we take 1-3 screens and polish their design with your branding in mind.

The final part of our design process is UI kit development. It’s a pack of icons and other elements that simplify app development and make it easier to add new screens later.

3

Development

What you get: Finished app

Estimated timeline: 3–6 months

We divide the entire development process into iterations.Our educational app developers create or flesh out a single feature in each of these iterations. This lets us change things on the fly, if necessary — e.g. you’d like to stick with education mobile app development and discard the web version of your software.

4

QA testing

What you get: Bug-free education app with secure user data

Estimated timeline: Concurrently with development

Educational app developers and testers look for bugs before the education platform releases. Once they identify any weak points, they remove them so that hackers won’t get access to employee and student’ data.

5

Release

What you get: A released app with a list of potential improvements

Once our education app developers release your education app, we’ll keep a close eye on user feedback. It will allow us to make your platform better later on.

6

Support and maintenance services

What you get: Regular updates

Our education app developers will help you integrate the education app into your existing workflows. Aside from that, we’ll continue to update your app and provide bug fixes, so that it attracts new users and keeps the old ones.
